Happy Birthday to me!

I have been dreading this day for years now. I just don't feel like I am 40 years old. Heck I still think and act like I am twentyish! LOL I guess I thought I would have done more with my life by now. Made some kind of difference in this world by now some how. I know if 50 is the new 30 then I am only 20! LOL
I just really thought my skin was going to melt off my body or something terrible, (not really), but I woke up and had a great morning with the boys and realized I have so much to be thankful for!

So on that note: Here is a little blog give away for every one!

For everyone who tells a birthday story in my comments I will put your names in a hat and have Trey draw a name and you will get a box of awesome new in the package Prima Products and Around the Block Products! It will be like a little birthday present from me!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Hope that you have a really lovely day!

As i am yet to reach the wonderful 40 I can not give you words of widom, however i do remember my Mothers 40th. I was 16 and as my parents are divorced i organized the whole thing. It was really lovely, but i think my Mums favorite part was when a good friend of hers arrived just as the others were leaving and they sat together on the deck outside and drank wine and talked. I remember hearing their laughter and thinking, wow my Mom is really lucky to have friends like that, that can make her laugh like that (oh and I think the wine helped too!)

I live in Switzerland so i understand about not wanting to ship here but just thought i would wish you happy birthday anyway!!!!!

Happy Bithday. You're not 40, you're wiser and still very young. My birthday this year was quite memoriable. I could be home for my birthday. I was in Fl. with mom so she threw me a birthday party. All my aunts and uncles, bother and siser, their children all came. I haven't had a birthday party like that since I was 16 years old. BTW: I have 10 aunts and uncles. They all brought food (best cooks), I recieve several memoribile gifts. They know I like to scrapbook. I hung posters on the doors outside that sang the Happy Birthday song, and I added a BIG thank you to my mom for ME. I have a blast. Thanks for the opportunity.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! From one with almost five years of experience under my belt, THE 40s ARE FABULOUS!! It is just a number, but I found that being older and wiser counts for something, and generally I appreciate life even more....

As far as birthday stories...hmmm. I always seem to have bad things happen around my birthay - my dog was put to sleep and my grandmother's funeral were on two different birthdays and one year I broke my leg two days before my birthday! BUT I did have a wonderful 40th birthday party: The party itself wasn't a surprise, but I was surprised that almost of my cousins were there, and two of my brothers and my fav aunt( who is more like a sister/friend and lives on the other side of the country) came into town!

ENJOY THE 40s TINA!!!
You look FABULOUS!!!!

OMG! Shoot ME!

Happy Happy "belated" Birthday!

See what happens when you get to 40, you start forgetting, and if it isn't written on a big fat calendar, you miss things... (a tip for you)

Now to tell ya the truth, when I turned 40, I believe I did cry. I really didn't want to hit that number, the 30's were so much fun and things were really going well. But after turning 40, and a couple of health problem, the 40's are really good. You will see, but just don't rush them, they are passing quickly, and you don't want that to happen.

As for any interesting birthday events, I really can't say I have had any. They usually involve a family dinner and that's about it. Nothing to exciting. As for the biggest party one, it was the 21st birthday, no to-go cups, but there was a lot of booze involved, and lots of fun that night.

Girlie I do hope you party like a Rock Star on your 40th and may you have many more birthdays to come, and may your birthday wishes come true! Hugs my Friend.

Two stories about birthdays

My second son was born on my birthday, and I was only in labor 5 hours.

When my mother in law was 65 she commneted that she had never had a birhtday party.Sooooo.. when her next birthday rolled around we had a big party. Huge cake balloons, hats and all the best for a kids first birthday party. We gave het an ALF doll that talked(he looked just like her dog). She always wanted a light blue old thunderbird, so we got her one (metal model size) and lots of other fun stuff.

Forget about the 40 years, We are still young until we look in the mirror. Besides today is one of the best days of your life.

HAPPY BELATED B-DAY sweet Tina! Love you girl -- 40 IS indeed the new 20, so no worries!!! (And please remind me that I said so next year when it's my turn...LOL!)

I missed your BIRTHDAY!!!! Happy Birthday woman!!
I have been 40 for a little while (about 1 1/2 years) and it's great. You ARE only as old as you feel. it's true. It didn't bother me, it's just a number.

I had a fairly memorable 40th. My oldest was running a fever the night before my birthday but had been feeling better, BUT, just before we are set to head out for the afternoon for dinner with my whole family he spiked a fever of 104 and we end up in the emergency room with him. He was fine, of course, later..but he scared us to death.

I hope you enjoyed your birthday
